Finn is ONE!

We last saw Finn for his newborn session last year! He’s gotten so big since then, although he still wasn’t a huge fan of the camera, lol!

Most of the newborns I work with and what you see on Katherine D Photography are under 2 weeks of age. Occasionally, I will get some in the 2-3 week range (in which they do really well!). When mom contacted me, Jaylon was 2 months old!! I had never worked with a newborn that old, but I wasn’t going to turn them down! It took a little while for him to fall asleep, but once he did, he was OUT and I was able to achieve some amazing posed images!
What’s amazing about older newborns is that we often get amazing eye contact! And because Jaylon was 2 months old, I was also able to get some great smiles as well!!

It’s been a year since we saw sweet James for his newborn session! He’s grown so much in the last year and was a busy little guy!
James was not the hugest fan of the cake, but I was still able to get some great shots!!

We last saw this family for mom’s maternity session! Charlotte was my last session before Hurricane Florence and she was the best! We were able to get everything mama wanted and even got some similar setups to her cousin Scarlett. How fun that these sweet girls will be able to grow up together!

It was so great to see this beautiful couple again, even if it was sooner than we had anticipated!! Sweet little Knox couldn’t wait to come into the world, and came at 36 weeks. Even though he was early, this little peanut is perfect in every way!
