A while back, another photographer in town asked me to take her families photos when her husband was home on R&R. It’s always such an honor to be asked by another photographer to do their families photos. I had such a blast, everyone was so fun! This quickly became one of my favorite sessions!

Back in November, I got to meet up with this beautiful family right before dad was set to deploy. They came out to my yard and we got some gorgeous light! It’s quickly becoming my favorite location, and not because I don’t have to go anywhere

A few weeks ago, I got the opportunity to meet up with the fun D family. They contacted me for an OpLove session and we did this a few days before he was set to deploy. Little A didn’t want much to do with me, but I managed to sneak a in few of him I had a great time with you guys and I hope you enjoy your prints and that the album provides some comfort from home during your deployment!

I’m a little behind in blogging, so I am going to be playing catchup in the next few weeks!! A few weeks ago, I got to meet up with A&S for an OpLove session. I had such a great time, and even though we were holding the session downtown during the International Folk Festival, we were able to find some quiet pockets

A few weeks ago, I got to meet up with this lovely family! Little L did so great and I had a fabulous time working with them! We met up at the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens right when they first opened and avoided the heat while getting some great fun family photos!

Today, my baby turns 4! It’s so hard to believe that she is turning 4, it seems like only yesterday she was a tiny baby in my arms. A few weeks ago, I took her out for her 4 year portraits. I had been spying this little patch of flowers on a corner lot and HAD to take her there! I didn’t know these flowers had thorns, so I was pretty limited in where we could be, but it turned out beautifully! I’m glad that I took her when I did because the flowers were not as plentiful the next week! Here are a few from her session!
I even got in a photo with my baby girl. I think that is SO important to be in photos, I know as moms, we are the photo takers and are rarely in them. Get in them! Hire a photographer or just have someone snap some photos of you. Don’t wait until you lose weight or anything else, the time is now!! Life is too short! I’m glad I had my husband snapped this of the two of us. My hair may not have been perfect and I have no make up on, but I will treasure this always!

Some of you may remember my post from last year: http://katherinedphotography.com/blog/back-from-vacation-fayetteville-nc-photographer/ Every year, we spend some time at my inlaws property, a place my girls have affectionately named “Cowland” because of the amount of cows there, lol! They come right up to the back of my inlaws property. It’s such a great time for our family, there’s not much TV watching, just gardening, playing outside, picking blackberries and rasberries and just having family time. I love it there and it’s such a great tradition. This year, some very very good friends of ours joined us! Next year, we’re all going to stay for a week! A few weeks ago, I got to meet this little princess. She’s got 2 older brothers to watch over her, as well as being a feisty redhead (yay for more redheads in the world!). She was so cute, gave me a little fight, but we were finally able to get her to sleep and get some portraits of her! Mom had all these great ideas and props. It was so much fun
