This past weekend, I had the honor of attending a homecoming session. What a special day this was. Just like anything with the military, we were waiting around for a few hours, but the wait was worth it. I didn’t know anyone coming home, but I couldn’t help getting teary eyed when I saw them all march in and when the national anthem was playing. Welcome home N! Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your day!
He texted when he had landed. You could feel the excitement in the air just building!

It’s hard to believe this little boy is two! I have known him since he was born and photographing him that long too! Today, he wanted nothing to do with me, so we didn’t get much from him, but big sister H got in on the act and she was a pleasure to photograph. And in typical toddler fashion, later in the day, my daughter was pretend photographing him and he did wonderfully. Too bad it had been raining that day, so we had to take it indoors instead of an outdoor session. But I got to use my new floor, so all was not lost!

I am back from vacation! Asheville was wonderful and relaxing! If you ever want to check it out, go outside of Asheville to stay at a B&B called The Windover Inn in Waynesville, NC. It’s so very beautiful, the inn keepers are wonderful and the breakfast is divine!! The second week, we stayed with my inlaws on their 8 acres. Lots of land!! They have 3 gardens, so it was also some work. I got bit by the gardening bug 😀 And we also picked wild blackberries. I was able to have a small photo session up there with my girls. Here are a few pics from that. I wish they lived closer because I would be using their land ALL the time! Beware, there are a lot of photos to share!!!!
